We've all heard the story of Disney actors branching out into a music career okay, but let's give a bit of our time to High School Musical's Ashley Tisdale. She already released her first album titled Headstrong back in 2007, and now she's back for another run.
In 2008, she started recording for her second solo album titled Guilty Pleasure and the first single is almost here. According to the actress' official website, Tisdale will be releasing her "club-hopping" single titled "Crank It Up" next month in Europe.
I wasn't too amused by her seemingly machine-manufactured vocal prowess on the movie though. Then again I could attribute that to her role as Sharpay Evans. Still, graduating from that franchise might have done some good for the 24-year-old singer. She certainly sounds a lot better with the new album.
Ashley Tisdale posted exclusive behind-the-scenes clips from her new music video "Crank It Up" on her official site. She's definitely been busy filming for the project, which has been reported to air next week.
"I'm super excited," she exclaimed on the clip. "It's been going well. [...] Everything's going super good; I'm having a lot of fun!"
Below, you can watch Ashley Tisdale talk about working on her new video for "Crank It Up." Since it's already airing at local radio stations and practically available online, try giving it a listen. But if you want to catch the actual video, don't miss its premiere on October 5 at the Planet VIVA special "Ashley Tisdale & Friends."
