Last night, ABC aired a special showing of the Disney Channel Original Movie, Camp Rock, as part of their Wonderful World of Disney series. After the movie aired, The Jonas Brothers hosted a 30-minute special entitled “Disney Rocks The Summer”. Kevin, Nick, and Joe gave viewers a sneak peek of what they can expect this summer from The Cheetah Girls: One World to the making of “Burnin’ Up”, the new Jonas Brothers video, to an extra long preview of High School Musical: Get In The Picture!

Nick Lachey introduced the High School Musical: Get In The Picture segment, which kicked off with the massive crowds that showed up in Florida and California for the initial auditions. High School Musical hopefuls didn’t just sing – they danced, they played instruments, and they did tricks. They did whatever it took to get noticed and grab a spot in the final group that would compete to be in a music video that will air at the end of High School Musical 3.

The lucky ones to make the show are informed in their hometowns, at their schools, their homes, and their local hangouts. The finalists will have to not only compete against each other, but spend quality time with each other, too. They meet, flirt, fall in love, laugh, gossip, fight, and cry all season long. They’ll compete within the walls of East High, where they’ll meet director Kenny Ortega and grab spots as extras in High School Musical 3. They’ll also have challenges thrown at them across the way, like when they find out that they’ll have to show off their singing and dancing skills in the middle of a Kmart store (who is a proud sponsor of the show).

High School Musical: Get In The Picture debuts on ABC Sunday, July 20th, at 8pm ET. The show will run on Sundays and Mondays for the first three weeks before settling into its usual Monday night spot through mid-September.
