Actor
Milo Ventimiglia has been keeping mum about his romance with
Heroes costar
Hayden Panettiere, and in the March 2008 issue of
GQ magazine, the 30-year-old star explains why.
“When you're in the public eye, you try to keep whatever you can private,” he said. People can speculate and talk. But what can you do—stop living your life?”

I guess he is pretty old for her, but they're cute and seem to like each others company so who cares...

I know I'm gonna sound like the grinch on this board, but please break up. -_-
Ventimiglia's effort to have some semblance of privacy is what led both him and Panettiere to downplay their relationship. They were first spotted getting cozy at the Emmys party in September, but a few months later denied reports that they were dating. They insisted their relationship was strictly platonic, although this didn't stop both the public and the media from speculating.
It was at the turn of the new year when the relationship was confirmed, with
People magazine reporting that the actor had spent time with Panettiere's family in December, and that "they're very affectionate and very comfortable around each other.”
With their romance now out in the open, more fans have begun to refer to them as “HALO,” a moniker which Milo Ventimiglia has grown fond of.
“You know what, man — it makes me smile,” he said of the nickname.
Ventimiglia is clearly experiencing some good luck on the romantic front, and the same can be said about his acting career.
Heroes was recently renewed by NBC, along with such series as
Chuck and
Life. On the show, Ventimiglia plays Peter Petrelli, who, from the first to the second season, went through a lot of changes, not just emotionally, but physically as well.
“I just finally put on a little man-weight,” he explained. “My face changed. Nothing I could do about it, man. It was a f***ing train I could not stop.”
Heroes was forced to shut down production because of the now-resolved WGA strike, and Milo Ventimiglia made good use of his unexpected break by taking on projects for the big screen.
“I'm busy as ever. I've got a production company,” he said. “I did two movies before Christmas—one with Gerard Butler, and then one called
Chaos Theory, with Rhys Coiro [who plays Billy Walsh on HBO's
Entourage]. I really wanted to work with Rhys.”
