Sendhil Ramamurthy, whose character Mohinder became a household name thanks to the NBC series Heroes, has been cast in USA Network's new drama series, Covert Affairs. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the 35-year-old actor will be appearing as a regular, serving as a replacement to original cast member Eric Lively.
Unlike Lively, who was cast to play a senior CIA agent and womanizer, Ramamurthy will play a new character. Details about his character, however, have not been disclosed at this point.

Ramamurthy joins cast members Christopher Gorham, Peter Gallagher, Kari Matchett, Anne Dudek, Eion Bailey and lead star Piper Perabo on Covert Affairs, a spy drama that revolves around a multilingual CIA trainee who is suddenly promoted in order to help capture her mysterious ex-boyfriend.
