Thursday nights will heat up once more as 16 aspiring chefs step up to impress Gordon Ramsay. The fifth season of Hell's Kitchen begins on Thursday, January 29 at 9pm on FOX, when Chef Gordon Ramsay takes the helm in search for a new head chef for his Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City.

In the season premiere, the 16 chefs enter Hell's Kitchen and get right to work to prepare and present their signature dishes to Gordon Ramsay. This is usually the time when we get to hear some of Ramsay's choicest profanities, but unlike in seasons past, he is pleasantly surprised by some of the chef's creations. After the first taste test, the group of chefs is broken up into teams and begin prepping for that night's dinner service.

The 16 chefs appearing in season 5 of Hell's Kitchen all have varying degrees of culinary experience, but they all love food and they all want to get into Gordon Ramsay's good graces. They are:
