NBC presents a new look at a character we have seen before in Hannibal. Executive Producer Bryan Fuller, best known for Pushing Daisies and Heroes, takes the story of Dr. Hannibal Lecter back to the beginning to see how he became the man of Silence of the Lambs. Fuller has adapted the series from Thomas Harris' book, Red Dragon.

FBI Special Agent Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) is a talented profiler tasked with hunting down serial killers. Will has an innate ability to empathize with people, even criminals and psychopaths, and see situations through their eyes. His ability to understand their motivations has served him well in previous investigations. His boss, Agent Jack Crawford (Laurence Fishburne), demands that he gets help after returned from leave.

Will begins to work with the brilliant psychiatrist Dr. Hannibal Lecter (MadsMikkelsen) and together they create a partnership that gets results and catches killers. The only thing is ... Dr. Lecter is a serial killer himself and Will has no idea.

Check out this extended trailer for Hannibal.

"Our cannibal loves women. He doesn't want to destroy them. He wants to consume them."

That Hannibal trailer shows a scary, intense, thriller that will keep viewers on the edge of their seat.
