There's too much press surrounding Hannah Montana: The Movie
these days, in addition to all the hype Miley Cyrus
is stirring up. But the excitement is with good reason, especially since Hannah Montana
star, Mitchel Musso
, revealed a few bits and pieces about the upcoming film. According to him, the big screen version is packed with surprises, making it truly different from the TV series.
During the red carpet premiere of the new Jonas Brothers movie, MTV caught up with Musso and asked about what to expect on the much awaited Hannah Montana: The Movie
. “We are so not even supposed to talk about it,” the actor admitted. “But, there are some very big people.”
Lucky for fans, Mitchel is on their side. “I hate hiding it,” he said. He also let slip that celebrities appearing on Hannah Montana: The Movie
are not just the usual cast. “I'm saying big, feature-film stars and big musicians.”
As many already know, Tyra Banks and Vanessa Williams have been slated for roles in the movie. In addition to that, Musso revealed that Taylor Swift will be performing. “She's hilarious, and unbelievably talented."
The actor also talked about how Hannah Montana: The Movie
will be showing a different side of Miley – the real one. It portrays her search for identity, which begins upon her return to her home state, Tennessee.
“It has a lot more drama,” Musso added. “There's a lot of sentimental things [in the script] that came from her heart and Billy Ray's heart, because that's where they live. They shot in all the areas they used to hang out in.”
Voicing out his opinions on the movie, he continued: “It's a little bit more mature, but still very family friendly. […] In the movie, it's more us. Not so much energy, more like real people.”
Hannah Montana: The Movie
hits US theaters on April 10, 2009.
