Teen romances will drive even the biggest celebrity to the extreme. Reports say that Hannah Montana
star Miley Cyrus
is so crazy over her boyfriend, Justin Gaston
, that she wants to get herself a tattoo as a sign of their love. The couple has only been dating for months, and now the pop sensation thinks she's ready to mark her skin permanently with ink.
Sources say that 16-year-old Miley has already picked out a design, a heart with Gaston's initials in the middle. An insider told the press that “She's trying to play her mom, Tish, against her dad to get one of them to agree to the tattoo. So far, her mom is the one who seems more cool with the idea than Billy Ray.”
Maybe dad's got the right idea. Even though Miley is free to express herself as an artist, a tattoo indicating who her boyfriend is might not be such a wise option. Who knows? Maybe Justin Gaston, the 20-year-old underwear model who rose to fame on Nashville Star
, would go on and follow the path of Nick Jonas sometime in the future. It's so hard to tell if he's the one for her, since the two of them have only just begun their careers. We're not saying he'll leave her, but there's always that possibility that he and Cyrus would break up.
Surely she knows that relationships are temporary, while tattoos aren't. Miley would have an even harder time moving on if they split and she constantly sees that symbol-of-things-past on her skin. She's still on her journey to fame, and she'll definitely encounter more difficulties (not to mention other male celebrities) on the way. Having someone's initials etched onto your body is sort of this huge, life-changing decision, and Miley Cyrus should know that it isn't to be taken lightly.
Another thing's her image. If there's anything the folks over at Miami Ink
taught us, it's that tattoos represent something truly inspiring. Each one has a story behind it, some even representing the identity of a person, like those on Tila Tequila and Kelly Osbourne. Whether or not Miley Cyrus gets “JG” engraved on her skin is her choice, but the only tale that tattoo would tell is the name of the teen star's boyfriend. Not exactly a legend we'd all enjoy listening to.
