There’s no shortage of drama among some of Disney’s brightest and hottest stars. It’s common knowledge that
Miley Cyrus was once linked to
Nick Jonas. Friends of Miley should probably follow the girls code that you don’t date your friend’s ex. It seems that
Selena Gomez, of
Wizards of Waverly Place, missed the memo. Several sources have told US Magazine that Selena and Nick are item, though reps for both parties have vehemently denied the claims. A few months back, Miley and BFF Mandy Jiroux took shots at Selena and
Demi Lovato in a YouTube video that has people wondering: is Miley a mean girl?
The YouTube video, which has regained popularity due to recent circumstances, is actually two videos spliced into one. The first is a video by best pals Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato, joking around in front of the camera for their fans. The second is a response by Miley and Mandy, who mock the Disney stars about everything from the clothes they’re wearing to the makeup they wear to the way they speak. Miley and Mandy’s video ends with a note saying that it is a parody of Selena and Demi, in case anybody was confused about who they were making fun of.
Soon after the video regained popularity, Miley apologized to Popstar magazine, saying that she and Mandy were “super sorry” if her friends were offended by their video. Besides the Nick Jonas controversy, several newspapers, magazines, and television shows have said that Selena and Demi will be the next Miley Cyrus, a claim the
Hannah Montana star doesn’t seem to like much. "I don’t think there could be a next Miley,” Miley recently told Extra. “I think they should be the next Selena, the next Demi and make their own way.”
Miley isn’t alone in her sentiments as her fellow Disney stars seem to feel the same way. "I am who I am," Demi Lovato told MTV News last week. "I'd like to be Demi Lovato. If I can accomplish half of what Miley's done, it'd be an honor, but I'd like to do it as Demi."
