When you're the star of one of the biggest shows ever to be a part of the Disney empire and you've got a hit selling record, there's not much time for a break. Such is the case for both
Miley Cyrus and her dad,
Billy Ray. Miley is getting read to headline a tour called "Best of Both Worlds" where she performs not only as herself, but as her alter ego
Hannah Montana.
Lottery systems have had to be put in place to help fans receive a fair shot at getting a seat. Many of her concerts are already sold out across North America.
Like daughter, like father. Billy Ray released an album of his own this year,
Home At Last, which debuted at number 3 on the Billboard Country chart. He's also heading out on the road in October and November in support of the album. Cyrus will play at various venues nationwide and make stops in Texas, Virginia, Nevada, and Indiana among others.
Both Miley and Billy Ray do their part to give back to their fans and their community. As
BuddyTV reported, Miley recently teamed up with the Make A Wish Foundation to make plans to meet a young fan, recently diagnosed with a brain tumor. Once again taking a page from his young daughter, Billy Ray also is getting involved in helping others. He recently recorded a PSA for Lee National Denim Day, taking place on October 5, a fund-raiser to help fight breast cancer. "We're not only talking about awareness, we're talking about a possible cure, at least one that can be effective in some way," he told
People magazine. "So it was a no-brainer when they called and asked me if I wanted to participate.
As if the two were not busy enough, the pair have just been announced as presenters at the Creative Arts Emmys, which will be broadcast on E! Entertainment Television on September 15. Other presenters include Kristen Bell, America Ferrera, and Seth Green. The evening will be hosted by comic Carlos Mencia.
