'Hannah Montana' Album Zooms to No. 1 Spot of Billboard Charts
It took four weeks for the Hannah Montana: The Movie soundtrack to reach the top of the Billboard 200, but they made it.  Last Wednesday, the album for the pop sensation took the throne for the chart's No. 1 spot, becoming the third album from the massive Disney franchise to do so.

According to Nielsen SoundScan, the soundtrack sold 133,000 copies as last week ended.  Before it gained more attention, the Hannah Montana box office album debuted at No. 2 and then plunged down to No. 5.  But last week, it took the runner-up slot again and quickly climbed up to the chart's peak.

Thanks to the millions of fans that Miley Cyrus has hauled in, the album became the first to top the Billboard 200 for this year.  It joins the ranks of Twilight, Mamma Mia!, and Juno, which were honored with leading spots in 2008.

Below is a video clip from MTV News, featuring Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus as she talks about the music in her big screen hit.  Regarding her work, she says she's not yet sure which direction she's willing to take, but a variety of genres will always be one of her priorities.

Miley might not be thinking about the future too much, since she's currently busy promoting the overseas release of her film all around Europe.  She recently headed to the Spanish capital city for a pre-screening of Hannah Montana: The Movie, and found time to be a guest star in a local TV show in Madrid. Accompanied by her father Billy Ray Cyrus, Miley performed on the set of El Hormiguero (The Anthill) during their time in the city.

If you can, catch Miley Cyrus as she makes her way throughout Europe, ending her tour in London to finish off more Hannah Montana promotions.
