Kim Zimmer, arguably one of the most popular cast members on Guiding Light, will be taking part in a book singing event for Guiding Light: Jonathan's Story on Saturday, October 20 at 2pm at the Borders Books and Music Store, located at 80 Wayne Town Center in Wayne, New Jersey.

As reported previously, Guiding Light: Jonathan's Story, which was released last month, is conceived by the long-running soap's Emmy-nominated head writer David Kreizman.  It features the character Jonathan Randall in an all-new passionate and adventure-filled love story that provides crucial information not revealed on the show.  The book also features his beloved deceased Tammy Winslow, Jonathan's arch-enemy Alan Spaulding, and his illustrious mother Reva Shayne, who is portrayed by Zimmer.
Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.

Zimmer originally played Reva Shayne, the daughter of Hawk Shayne and his late wife, Sarah O'Neal Shayne, in 1983 but left the soap to play Jodie De Witt Walker on Santa Barbara from 1992 to 1993.  She returned to Guiding Light in 1995 and has portrayed Reva ever since.  Her character's paring with Robert Newman's Josh Lewis became a very popular tandem, developing into a supercouple and one of the cornerstones of the soap.

Aside from the fact that Reva is Jonathan's mother, Zimmer's character's inclusion to the plot of the book was necessary since she's the only one who knows he's still alive.  When Tammy was killed after stepping in front of a speeding car to save Jonathan from a hit man, he faked his own death and left town with his daughter, Sarah, in order to run away from the ruthless Alan Spaulding. Far away from Springfield, Jonathan stops running and forges a new life for himself while establishing a stable home for his daughter. With a new identity, he is now bound to face new love encounters and suspenseful adventures.
