Rumor has it that Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles home-wrecker Leven Rambin will play Mark Sloan's (Eric Dane) long-lost daughter on Grey's Anatomy. But that still remains to be seen. What we can assure you, though, is this: whatever role she plays, it's not going to be good news for Mark and Lexie (Chyler Leigh). Grey's Anatomy executive producer Shonda Rhimes said so herself.
"I'm not sure it's the kind of obstacle people are expecting, but it's definitely a new one. I'm not sure they'll stick together through it," she tells Entertainment Weekly.
Rambin's character will not only figure on Grey's Anatomy
, but on its spin-off Private Practice
as well. Starting next week on the episode called "Holidaze" Rambin will already make her presence felt, and she will stay put until the highly anticipated crossover between the two ABC medical dramas.
But other than the relationship of Mark and Lexie, another old coupling will be explored - Mark and Addison (Kate Walsh) - and it just might be worth revisiting.
"They've both really grown up since they were together, and most of the animosity that they had is gone," adds Rhimes, who's also the executive producer of Private Practice
. "Now they're friends, but they may end up falling back into their old patterns while they're together."
I'm not exactly a fan of Mark and Lexie, but with just the excitement factor as the standard, it "Slexie" has nothing compared to Sloan and Addison (come to think of it, even Sloan and Callie).
