Uh oh, Yang-Hunt fans (haven't you lot come up with a name yet? Other than Crowen, I mean). According to the Hollywood Reporter, Kim Raver has been promoted to series regular on
Grey's Anatomy.
Know what that means? The torment she brings to the very rocky pairing of Cristina (Sandra Oh) and Owen (Kevin McKidd) is by no means over, and for the remainder of this season, her character Teddy Altman will be there to oversee the proceedings not just in the cardio department, but in their love affair as well.
Don't forget to catch:
BuddyTV's Best of 2009The former
24 and
Lipstick Jungle star has been upped to series regular on
Grey's a mere two months after she was brought in to be Cristina's cardio goddess. As things unraveled on the ABC medical drama's sixth season, it turns out Teddy and Owen had something going on when they were both in the army.
Raver is set to appear on all but one of
Grey's Anatomy's current sixth season, which will kick off January 14 with
a special crossover event with spin-off
Private Practice.
Raver follows a couple of recent recruits to the show; her very own buddy McKidd and Jessica Capshaw, who plays peds attending and Callie's (Sara Ramirez) love interest Arizona Robbins. TR Knight left the show last season, while Katherine Heigl has been quite scarce on the current one.
Is this a passing off the baton on
Grey's Anatomy we're witnessing?
