Things may have slightly quieted down about
T.R. Knight's potential exit from
Grey's Anatomy but it is still on the minds of many fans. The news first broke on celebrity gossip sites, saying that T.R. was fed up with his character George's minor storylines. Sources said he walked off the set, wouldn't show up to table reads, and began saying goodbye to his hair and makeup people in preparation for quitting the show. A rep for
Grey's Anatomy answered back, saying that none of it was true. Then came word that the actor was trying to negotiate being written out of the show. It doesn't seem that a solid answer is coming anytime soon and Knight's costars are not much help in trying to get to the bottom of this!
Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello caught up with
Grey's star
Eric Dane this week and asked him what he knows about T.R.'s exit. "I have not heard confirmation [that he's leaving] yet. I don't know anything about when or how," he admitted. "If that happens, of course I would be bummed. He's a great guy to work with and a great character for the show, but he's gotta do what he feels is right." Melissa George, who recently joined the cast as Sadie, a medical intern, told People magazine last week that T.R. has been doing "beautiful work" and was happy on set. “He’s a great actor,” she said. “But maybe, when you have talent, you want more.”
For George, who recently earned a Golden Globe nomination for her work on HBO's
In Treatment, her days at Seattle Grace seem to be numbered. “I think I’m going to do 8 episodes and that’s it,” she said. “We’ll see.” Dane, on the other hand, has no intention of leaving anytime soon, especially with the recent romance between his character Dr. Mark Sloan and Lexie Grey. "It is a good place to work and there are good people behind and in front of the cameras. I'm not going anywhere," he said. "I just started getting some action again. Why would I leave?"
