Grey's Anatomy: Staring at the Sun
Tonight's Grey's Anatomy looks to build on the momentum of last week's solid episode. I liked last week because they actually shot a number of scenes in Seattle. For purposes of full disclosure, I must admit that I live in Seattle and feel like our glorious city does not get the props it deserves. Grey's actually pays a lot of attention to detail; a couple of episodes back they had a menu on a refrigerator for a restaurant that is literally five blocks from where I live and is a place that I have frequented for years. Seeing it pleased me to no end, though I can't really explain why. Nonetheless, tonight will, presumably, see the aftermath of Meredith and Derek reuniting. Will Shonda Rhimes orchestrate a long-term relationship now, for the will they/won't they couple? Or will they continue to be kept apart? Frankly, I'm not sure if it matters too much. Regardless, the relationship certainly won't be all kittens and rainbows, given the proclivities of the two.
Tonight's episode will also focus on George's father and his pressing need for heart surgery, Richard looking to get his wife back, and a story line that sees Addison and Derek trying to act civil towards one another. Also, according to Isabelle during her latest SpoilerFix TVj session, "it is on" between Addison and Karev. Hmm, what could that mean? Either they will start warring or they will start hooking up. I vote for hooking up because, you know, that would be pretty darn fun and create a nice love hexagon between Karev, Addison, McSteamy, McDreamy, Meredith and Callie. And, don't we all love a good love hexagon? I'm beginning to grow tired of the Burke/Cristina trembling hand story. It has to come to a head at some point and the story has grown stagnant. Nothing new has happened. Either he has to be found out by messing up during surgery or he has to admit to himself and his co-workers that he is not all right. Grey's Anatomy airs at 9PM ET/PT tonight. Should be a good one. -Oscar Dahl, BuddyTV Senior Writer
