It's Thanksgiving in Seattle Grace!
Anywhere else actually, but on Grey's Anatomy, Miranda (Chandra Wilson) is visited by her father William, who disapproves of her choices in life. Elsewhere Thatcher Grey questions the Chief's (James Pickens, Jr.) behavior as Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) comes to his defense. Cristina (Sandra Oh), meanwhile, begins suspecting that something either is or was up between Owen (Kevin McKidd) and Teddy (guest star Kim Raver). As she says, she may be insensitive, but she picks these things up.
However, "Holidaze" seems to be a Mark Sloan (Eric Dane) episode, with the arrival of someone who claims to be her long-lost daughter (guest star Leven Rambin). This appears to be a protracted storyline too, extending to January and possibly culminating in the Grey's Anatomy-Private Practice
crossover, where Sloan will fly to Los Angeles and old flame Addison (Kate Walsh) will fly to Seattle.
There's probably nothing long-term to be derived from this, since Addie seems comfortable in her spin-off, but Shonda Rhimes herself said the reunion between the two will be kind of sweet, especially since all the animosity between them are now a thing of the past.
"Now they're friends, but they may end up falling back into their old patterns while they're together," she said.
