Probably the most exciting and biggest plotline of this season will kick-off tonight on Grey's Anatomy. On "Invasion" it's day one of the merger, and the residents of Seattle Grace and Mercy West, both not exactly keen on the development, vie for surgeries and their careers. As you can see from the photos, it won't be an amicable meeting for residents from either side of the merger camp. Some people will lose their cool. And if you know your Grey's Anatomy, you know Alex is not exactly a poster child for Mahatma Gandhi and pacifism.
"There should be at least a couple of days that they act like guests before they put their feet up in the coffee table," said Izzie in one clip, featuring the Seattle Grace residents watching the Mercy West people in orange scrubs (they ran out of the old ones) with Mer in bed (recovering from the transplant). "They're here, it's over," Cristina says grimly. But Mer has something to say about their invaders - "We own this hospital. We were born in this hospital. And we will hold this hospital with our last gasping breath!"
We also get to see the Everwood
's Sarah Drew for the first time, and she's very grown up. She gets assigned to man Zone 5 along with Lexie (in Mercy West, they do zones), and let's just say she brings up something in the past that hit particularly close to home as far as Lexie's stay in Seattle Grace is concerned.
Elsewhere on "Invasion" we get another visit from Callie's tiresome dad, who this time brings in a priest to help convince Callie to date men. Yes, just like the dark ages, when homosexuality / bisexuality / non-heterosexuality is thought of as something you can exorcise.
