'Greek' Returns Tonight, Plus Tiffany Dupont Spills the Beans on the New Season

Fans can’t wait for 8pm tonight as Greek returns to ABC Family with its highly-anticipated second season.  Last year, we saw Tiffany Dupont’s character, Frannie Morgan, lose her title as the president of Zeta Beta Zeta to Casey Cartwright (Spencer Grammer).  Frannie took a hiatus only to come back squeaky clean last Spring.  However, the question stands: Is this new image for real, or is it just a sneaky front?  Tiffany Dupont talks to Zap2It to reveal some juicy tidbits on what’s to come in the new season debuting tonight.

"I think the idea was to build up [the mystery].  Where is Frannie?  What happened to her?  Is she coming back or not?"  Dupont said of her character's disappearance.  "So hopefully that played well when she did return in the fourth episode.  I think it was a bit of a surprise."

More importantly, Dupont reveals that in tonight’s episode, we’ll get to see another side of Frannie we haven’t seen before.

"I think we'll see in this episode that she genuinely cares about Casey and is sorry, but she cares about Evan, too.  She has feelings for him.  I think they're real.  It's not just a game," she told Zap2It.  She also points out that this will pose questions for the characters, like, “Is Casey wrong to not support Frannie, because hey, she gave Evan up?  Or is Frannie wrong to pick a guy over the friendship with Casey?  What's right or wrong depends on where you're standing, I think.  Very interesting.”

As for Evan Chambers (Jake McDorman), Dupont has a few things to say about him this season as well.  She reveals, “Jake [McDorman] often will say that he wishes Evan were a nicer guy.  He feels like he looks like such a jerk all the time.”

However, she has a different point of view when it comes to Evan.  She admitted, “I don't really think Evan's a jerk.  I think he's just caught up in the circumstances of his life, being from money and having this image that comes from that.  He's juggling it the best he can.  The kid's in college for crying out loud.  He's not going to know how to handle everything and I think he has good intentions even if he goes about it the wrong way.”

Catch the premiere episode of Greek’s season 2 tonight at 8pm on ABC Family.
