Last week on Gossip Girl
, we took a trip to the Hamptons to catch up on the unsavory shenanigans of the Upper East Siders. Nate spent the summer in a scandal-tastic relationship with an older married woman, Serena wasted time moping over Dan, and Blair was busy picking up a fake boyfriend to flaunt in front of Chuck. By the end of the episode, Serena and Dan kissed and made up, Blair discovered that her new boy is actually a wealthy British Lord, and Chuck figured out that he's incapable of saying "I love you." What a mother Chucker.
On tonight's Gossip Girl
, B tries her best to act like a lady and impress the Duchess, while Nate finds a demanding new job as a gigolo.
Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.
The episode begins with Dan (Penn Badgley
) and Serena waking up on the beach after their late night hook-up. S is a bit confused about their sexual shenanigans, thinking that they should talk about whether or not they're back together. She tells Dan that she'll see him back in the city, at which point they'll find the time to sit down and discuss their relationship. There's nothing like a serious chat to destroy the mood.
Blair is enjoying a late summer bike ride with Lord Marcus, and she's still more than happy to refer to him as "m'Lord." In one of my favorite lines of dialogue in the episode, B tells Marcus, "I'm ready to meet the Queen -- which I also watched on DVD, btw." Ha! Blair's future plans are soon put into jeopardy when Marcus fails to do jumping jacks over her desire to meet the Duke and Duchess. B calls S and rants about Marcus's hesitancy to introduce her to royalty, while Chuck (Ed Westwick
) sneaks by and takes time to bond with the Lord and make a date to play squash. They're totally BFFs now. B is none too pleased when she sees them chatting, so she quickly calls Chuck a "Basshole" and gets rid of him.
Nate (Chace Crawford
) goes to visit his mother, only to discover that her ability to live in denial hasn't faded over the summer. The Feds have frozen all the Archibald accounts and want to take their money away, all because Nate's dad skipped town. Mom says that she'll get things under control somehow, but Nate knows that his mother is a few turkey slices short of a sandwich.
