Can't get enough of The X Factor? We've got the latest scoop about your favorite judges! In this week's roundup, we find out why Simon Cowell is being lured back to the U.K., what prompted Demi Lovato to enter rehab and how Britney Spears feels about the latest episode of Glee.
Simon Cowell to Return to The X Factor U.K.?
According to
The Sun, ITV bosses are plotting the return of Cowell back to the British version of
The X Factor in an effort to save the show from falling ratings. Cowell made a brief appreance in the September 23 episode, where he assigned judges Gary Barlow, Tulisa Contostavlos, Louis Walsh and Nicole Scherzinger their categories by phone from Los Angeles. This marks the music mogul's first appeareance on the show since he quit to focus on the U.S. version. Meanwhile, ITV bosses are hoping that Cowell would officially return to the U.K. Version since the U.S. Version's ratings are not meeting Cowell's expectations.
"The UK figures have been slowly dipping since Simon and Cheryl Cole left. The new judges just don't have chemistry," a source told The Sun. "Until this weekend, it was obvious Simon felt he'd outgrown the UK. But with disappointing figures in America bosses feel he may come back to Britain where he's loved and missed."
While the most recent episode of The X Factor U.S.A. attracted 10.2 million viewers (and defeated NBC's The Voice), a source close to FOX says, "There has been no talk so far of X Factor USA coming back."
Demi Lovato Tells All
In Monday's episode of Katie Couric's new daytime talk show, Katie, Lovato candidly talked about her personal struggles and body image issues. The new X Factor judge revealed that she's been struggling since she was 3-years-old and even shared the incident that prompted her to enter rehab. "What happened was I made a huge mistake and I ended up hitting one of my friends who was a back up dancer," Lovato said. "I felt horrible, I wasn't really in control of my emotions at the time and I was just out of control and there's no excuse for it but it definitely showed everyone I needed to get help and I think two days later I was checking into rehab."
Lovato has come along way since her stint in rehab. Aside from joining
The X Factor, she has also released the album "Unbroken" last year and is
planning to hit the recording studio in the near future.
Britney Spears' Camp Felt Betrayed By Glee
While the sophomore season of
Glee celebrated Britney Spears' music career, the third season's episode "Britney 2.0" focused on the singer's unpleasant past, including her 2007 public meltdown. Spears' manager spoke to
Access Hollywood, revealing that the singer's camp was "completely unaware
Glee was going to revisit Britney's troubled times and was 'livid' over the episode." If you missed "Britney 2.0,"
