This week we learned that Rachel's gay dads will be coming to
Glee in the Valentine's Day episode, and now we have our first look.
Star Lea Michele tweeted a photo
of herself with the two actors who will be playing he fathers, Broadway
star Brian Stokes Mitchell and the supremely awesome Jeff Goldblum.
Glee Casts Rachel's Gay Dads>>The guest appearance is a rare TV role for Mitchell, whose only other television appearance in the past decade was on an episode of
Ugly Betty. However, he fits perfectly with
Glee as he is a Tony-winning Broadway star who was worked with Michele in the past. Hopefully
Glee will actually let him sing, unlike Will's dad, the equally talented Victor Garber.
Goldblum, on the other hand, is no stranger to TV, though he might be better known for his film roles in
The Fly,
Jurassic Park and
Independence Day. He starred on
Raines and
Law and Order: Criminal Intent, and last year he gave a hilarious guest appearance as Ruxin's father on FX's
The League.
The two will play characters first referenced in the show's pilot, Leroy and Hiram, though a photo of them hanging in Rachel's locker bears no resemblance to the two actors. They will be featured in the February 14 episode, "Heart."
