Last week we went a little crazy over the news that a Glee Britney Spears episode was in the works, even taking the time to craft our dream Brit playlist for the tribute.

Now, despite its likelihood to dash a few of our playlist dreams, this new announcement about the Ms. Spears episode fulfills an entirely different, even more exciting dream: a Glee episode starring the adorable, ever-quotable Brittany (Heather Morris)!

Morris, who didn't get to show off her vocal chops in season 1, will sing two Spears songs in the tribute episode, according to TV Guide. No word yet on which tracks she'll belt out in honor of her name-twin, but showrunner Ryan Murphy assures fans that, after such a long wait to hear from the ditzy cheerleader, they won't be disappointed: "Heather's actually got a terrific voice," he told TV Guide.

We're not the only excited ones about this news: Heather Morris recently told E! Online that, "I heard there's a Britney Spears episode coming up and fingers crossed that I get to sing, because I play Brittany and I'm like, 'Oh my god, it's insane.'"

We're got a few more summer months to wait for Glee's return, but come fall, Gleeks won't have long to wait to hear how Morris sounds: Murphy tells TV Guide that the Ms. Spears extravaganza will be the second episode of season 2.

Which songs do you long to hear go from Britney to Brittany? So many songs, from "Boys" to "I'm a Slave 4 U," seem eerily appropriate ...
