Ghost Hunters are Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson, creators of TAPS. With team members Donna Lacroix, Brian Harnois, and Steve Gonzalves, they investigate choice locations by using electronic apparatus susceptible in detecting paranormal activity. The team's equipment includes digital thermometers, EMF (electromagnetic field) scanners, infrared and night vision cameras, handheld digital video cameras, digital audio recorders, and laptop computers. In each episode, the TAPS team reviews the property with its owners, who narrate their experiences at the site. Subsequently, the team sets up their equipments in spots suspected to have paranormal presence and spends several hours recording audio, filming with the video camera, temperature reading and many more. After a few days of examining what they have gathered, Hawes and Wilson discuss their conclusions with the site owners and offers recommendations for dealing with the paranormal activities, answer any questions the owners may have. Apart from the ghost hunting aspect, the series draws attention to relationships among TAPS members and their personal conflicts.
Ghost Hunters is produced by Pilgrim Films with Craig Piligian and Tom Thayer. It airs Wednesdays at 9PM on the Sci-Fi Channel.
