Born Laura Sisk on September 11, 1970 in Clinton, Maryland, Laura Wright is an actress who had her first soap opera role as Allison Bowman on Loving. She reprised her role in 1995's spin off of Loving, The City. After the show was canceled, she was given the role of Cassie Winslow on
Guiding Light , which she played until 2005. In the same year, Wright landed the role of Carly Corinthos on General Hospital.
Carly Corinthos is played by Laura Wright in the soap opera General Hospital. Bobbie Spencer, a teenage hooker, gave birth to Carly and gave her up to adoptive parents Frank and Virginia Benson because she could not raise the baby alone. Carly grew up and later rebuilt her relationship with her mother. Coming to Port Charles, she became involved with men such as Tony Jones, AJ Quartermaine and Jason Morgan. She also got involved with the mafia business of Sonny Corinthos, and the two got married three times over a span of five years. Carly has two children, one from AJ and another from Sonny. She finally settled with Jasper Jacks whom she married in 2007.
