Jesse Plemons was born on April 2, 1988 in Dallas, Texas. In spite of the modicum of success he has achieved as an actor for several feature film and television productions, he has been described as being down-to-earth and still firmly rooted with his family in their home of Mart, Texas. Aside from acting, he also enjoys a number of sporting activities, as well as being able to savor his cowboy roots through trick roping and horseback riding. Plemons has acted in a number of movies, such as All the Pretty Horses, Children on Their Birthdays, and When Zachary Beaver Came to Town.
Landry Clarke is portrayed by Jesse Plemons in the NBC network’s award-winning television drama series Friday Night Lights. He is the best friend of the Panthers’ quarterback Matt Saracen, despite not being on the football team himself. He is often a source of support and advice for Matt, though his advice is hardly ever helpful or useful. Landry also performs as the front man for the Christian speed-metal group Crucifictorious. When Mrs. Taylor requested Landry to help out as Tim Riggins’ personal literature tutor, he also complied. He has a major crush on Tyra, and though she was previously hostile towards him, the two of them have managed to become friends.
