'Gilmore Girls' Alum Matt Czuchry to Guest on 'Friday Night Lights'
You know him as Logan from Gilmore Girls, Rory's long-time boyfriend.  The rich one.  His name, if you didn't know, is Matt Czuchry.  Today, NBC announced that Mr. Czuchry will be appearing on Friday Night Lights as a Cristian Radio host.  Czuchry played anything but a devout Christian while on Gilmore Girls – it's nice to see him branch out.  I've always been a little confused as to how Czuchry hasn't gotten more high-profile work in Hollywood.  Perhaps this gig on Friday Night Lights is the beginning of something bigger.

Matt Czuchry was great on Gilmore Girls.  I thought so, and most fans of Gilmore would agree with that sentiment.  His character on Friday Night Lights is of a Christian Radio host who interview the newly religious Lyla Garrity.  His first appearance will be in episode 12, and other than that we don't know much.  There will be fifteen episodes of Friday Night Lights produced this season, regardless of what happens with the writers' strike.  Will they set up Czuchry as a possible love interest for Ms. Garrity?  Will he become an important cast member?

Now, I need to be honest here – I have no idea what's going on, story-wise, on Friday Night Lights right now.  I've just started the season one DVDs and I couldn't be more impressed with the show.  So, I don't want the rest of the season ruined for me, therefore I have not looked at what's happened here in season two.  I don't know if Lyla is romantically involved with anyone.  I don't know about her newly Christian ways.  All I know is that I like the casting of Matt Czuchry as a Christian radio host.  He'll fit right in to the vibe of Friday Night Lights and I'm really interested to see what kind of character this radio host is.  He could be sleazy or smooth or naïve.  Anything, really.
