Friday Night Lights' Fifth Season Could Be Its Last
Friday Night Lights' Fifth Season Could Be Its Last
Looks like we'll be seeing the last of the Taylors soon.

Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello reports that the fifth season of Friday Night Lights, which will air in the fall on DirecTV, will be its last. While a representative for NBC insists no official decision has been made, several sources have reported that the network has told the show's cast that they can pursue other work after production wraps up in June.

That means Friday Night Lights will end in December for DirecTV viewers, although those watching over at NBC would have to wait longer. The fourth season, which wraps up tonight, will air on the Peacock on April 30; the fifth season isn't expected to air there until 2011.

While it's sad to see arguably one of the best television dramas end, I'm just as happy. It's good to see Friday Night Lights end on a high, and also, to see the producers can end the show on their own terms. Still, with the Taylors and everyone at Dillon possibly bidding farewell soon, what do you think?
