Diem Brown was born June 12, 1982 in Atlanta, Georgia. In 2003, she graduated from Florida State University. She came into popularity when she entered MTV's reality-TV series in 2006. She originally auditioned for
Real World but wasn't chosen to be part of the show. The producers called her for The
Real World/Road Rules Challenge :
Fresh Meat where she became the ninth woman to be eliminated from the program. It was also in 2006 when she was diagnosed with stage 2 ovarian cancer. Her courage in her battle with cancer earned her an interview with Jane Skinner for Fox News. She was also invited to speak at the Step Up Women's Network in New York City. Her story on fighting the big C was also published in the November 2006 issue of Glamour Magazine. In 2008, she returned to MTV as one of the veterans on Gauntlet III.
