Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie are back for a second season of their special brand of musical sitcom.  After months and months of waiting, Flight of the Conchords returns with “A Good Opportunity,” which picks up directly where the last season left off.

Last time we saw the New Zealand folk duo, they were left in a troublesome position – grooving to an angry dance after losing their band manager Murray (Rhys Darby) and one and only fan Mel (Kristen Schaal) to rival band the Crazy Dogggz.  Naturally, something had to be done to restore order to the band.

In the season opener, Bret and Jemaine attempt to make it on their own and their first order of business is firing Murray seeing that he's spending too much time with the Crazy Dogggz.  The odd pair resorts to a variety of unconventional strategies in an attempt to jump-start their lives and career, and almost immediately they receive an offer to write a jingle for a commercial.  They excitedly accept the job but unfortunately forget that they are illegal immigrants in America and might be left with no other choice but to get help from Murray.  Meanwhile Murray's fortunes reverse after he discovers that the Crazy Dogggz big hit is a rip-off of a 1990s Polish song.

Also returning for the second season is Dave (Arj Barker), Bret and Jemaine's friend who taught them how to how to “flip the bird” during the first season, and Mel's husband, Doug (David Costabile).  The episode also features a cameo appearance from comedian Greg Proops.

Meanwhile, business time may not last much longer for Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie.  The Flight of the Conchord stars already hinted last year that the show's second season will likely be its last.

Fans can catch Flight of the Conchords every Sunday at 10pm ET/PT on HBO.
