Flashpoint: Preview of Season 2 Finale "Exit Wounds"

Flashpoint wraps up its sophomore season tonight with the episode "Exit Wounds" - a title fitting for the show's temporary departure and for what's going to happen.  The police drama series finds the Strategic Response Unit in the midst of trouble once again, this time in a place where safety is necessary but uncertain.

On the previous episode of Flashpoint, titled "Last Dance," the SRU team dealt with a young couple who unexpectedly immersed themselves in crime.  At first, no one knew what their motives were.  It was even believed that drugs had something to do with it, since the disoriented female suspect was plagued by delusions.

The two left a trail behind, which the police force picked up and followed.  They found the suspects hand in hand at Old Mill, a ballroom, hoping to have their last dance before killing themselves.  The woman was actually suffering from a brain disease that would take her life in a few days. Thus, her fiancé promised her a perfect night before he injected her with morphine.

Tonight's episode of Flashpoint will be intense, as it's going to be the season finale.  On "Exit Wounds," families will find themselves in danger when a man tries to protect his little brother from being hunted down by a gang. A fter witnessing a slaying, the man's sibling was brutally injured and needed medical attention.

At the hospital, a standoff occurs and the SRU team has to step in and stop it, all while keeping everyone in the building unharmed.  Will they be able to save the witnesses and bring the gang to justice?

Flashpoint stars Hugh Dillon as team leader and main sniper Ed Lane, Enrico Colantoni as crisis negotiator Greg Parker, Amy Jo Johnson as Jules Callaghan, Mark Taylor as Lewis Young, Sergio Di Zio as Spike Scarlatti, Michael Cram as Kevin Wordsworth, David Paetkau as Sam Braddock, and Ruth Marshall as Dr. Amanda Luria.

Catch the finale of Flashpoint's second season tonight at 9pm on CBS.
