Gregory Smith was born July 6, 1983 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He began acting at age six and got his first major break with a starring role in the film, Andre. He followed this up with Leapin’ Leprechauns and its sequel, Spellbreaker: Secret of the Leprechauns. Smith also appeared in Nickelodeon’s Harriet the Spy before landing meaty roles in Small Soldiers alongside Kirsten Dunst, The Patriot with Mel Gibson and Heath Ledger and as the youngest cast member in American Outlaws starring Scott Caan and Colin Farrell. On television, Smith acted alongside veterans Mary Stuart Masterson, Hector Elizondo and Rhea Perlman on the show, Kate Brasher, before securing a regular gig as the sensitive but talented Ephram Brown on Everwood.
Ephram Brown, played by Gregory Smith on Everwood, is the sensitive, teenaged son of neurosurgeon, Dr. Andrew Brown. A talented and budding musician, Ephram has had to contend with his mother’s death, adjusting from a bustling city life to the more relaxed pace of country living, pains of young love and romance and reconnecting with his father.
