Last week on Eli Stone, Eli (Jonny Lee Miller) was setup on a date with Ashley Cardiff (Bridget Moynahan), one of Dr. Chen's (James Saito) patients.  Tonight, the Six Degrees actress reprises her role as Eli's love interest in the episode called “Owner of a Lonely Heart,” in which Eli is determined to find out if he'll ever find true love.

Read on to find out what's in store for tonight's Eli Stone.

In the eighth episode of season 2, Eli prepares to tell Ashley the truth about his gift of prophesy after a few dates with her.  But her unexpected reaction sends him to the hands of Dr. Chen's rival, who must perform a risky acupuncture procedure to Eli in order to learn what the future holds for him and Ashley, even if it means suffering the consequences.  On the other hand, what he discovers is the unfortunate circumstances of Nate (Matt Letscher) and Beth's (Laura Benanti) engagement.

At the same time, Eli receives a vision that he's supposed to represent a Nobel Prize winner who will someday discover the secret of cold fusion.  As for Taylor (Natasha Henstridge), she learns some unpleasant truths about Jordan (Victor Garber) while representing him in his divorce from her stepmother.

"Owner of a Lonely Heart" is directed by Ron Underwood (The Secret Life of the American Teenager, Tremors, Ugly Betty) and written by The O.C.'s Leila Gerstein.

Don't forget to catch Eli Stone tonight at 10pm on ABC.

As reported previously, ABC has passed on ordering full seasons of its sophomore efforts, including Eli Stone, Pushing Daisies and Dirty Sexy Money.  Eli Stone has six episodes left, including tonight's installment, and is believed to finish its run early next year.  And while airdates for the remaining episodes are yet to be confirmed by the network, the show seems to be in the running to stay put on Tuesdays.
