Let's hop aboard the So You Think You Can Dance
train as we steam toward the finale! Last week, we bid farewell to Jenna Johnson and Tucker Knox. That leaves six dancers left in the competition: Hayley Erbert, Amy Yakima, Jasmine Harper, Aaron Turner, Paul Karmiryan and DuShaunt "Fik-Shun" Stegall.
The level of dancing talent this year is amazing, and the competition is so close! It is sad that tonight we have to say goodbye to two more dancers. I think that being cut so close to the finals may be the most heartbreaking elimination of all.

Are you ready to see if your favorite dancer advances to the finals?
Grab some tissues and get set. This is the So You Think You Can Dance
Let's get to what is really important, shall we? What fashionable confection is our hostess, Cat Deeley, sporting this evening? Cat is wearing a lovely sparkling gold ensemble. I would expect nothing less.
Each dancer will perform three times tonight. That's a lot of dancing! The results will be revealed at the end of the show.
Here are our JUDGES! Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy are joined at the judges' table by one of my favorite guest panelists, Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Modern Family
Now it is on to a Sean Cheesman jazz group routine. It is joyful and uplifting.Paul Karmiryan with All-Star KathrynJazz choreographed by Tyce Diorio
This routine is about a power struggle between a man and a woman. It is fast, athletic and sort of steamy. Nigel Lythgoe praises Paul and tells him that he "can do anything." Jesse Tyler Ferguson tells Paul that he is no longer afraid of wearing leather pants. (Really!)Amy Yakima -- Solo
Tonight, the contestants receive heart-warming messages from home. Amy's solo is amazing. It is powerful yet emotional.Hayley Ebert with All-Star JoshuaHip-Hop choreographed by NappyTabs
This number is about boxing. I like it. Hayley has swag and strength. Mary Murphy commends Hayley's performance. Jesse Tyler Ferguson thinks the routine should be made into a work-out DVD. DuShaunt "Fik-Shun" Stegall -- Solo
Fik-Shun's solo crackles with energy and fun.Aaron Turner with All-Star MelanieBroadway choreographed by Spencer Liff
This Broadway routine is about a couple in a love-hate relationship. It starts with Melanie on a ladder-like structure. This number has odd pacing, and I think there is a lack of chemistry between the dancers. Aaron accidentally drops Melanie by missing a connection. Nigel tells Aaron to drop his shoulders. Mary asks Aaron if he is holding his shoulders up due to his injury, and Aaron admits that he is being a bit cautious with it because he wants to continue competing. Jasmine Harper -- Solo
Jasmine's solo is powerful and beautiful. Paul Karmiryan -- Solo
Paul's solo is energetic and fun.DuShaunt "Fik-Shun" Stegall with All-Star WitneyFoxtrot choreographed by Jonathan Roberts
I like this sexy foxtrot. Witney does an amazing flip over Fik-Shun, and she nearly steals the routine. Mary Murphy tells him that he had some technical issues and that the style did not suit him. Hayley Erbert -- Solo
Hayley's solo contains a misstep, but the rest of the routine is good.Jasmine Harper with All-Star NeilJazz choreographed by Tyce Diorio
This routine is about the suffering in the world because of storms such as hurricanes. It is an emotional and beautiful piece. It garners a standing ovation from the judges. Nigel tells Jasmine that she has stolen his heart, and Mary is moved to tears once again. Jesse Tyler Ferguson tells Jasmine that she is his favorite dancer this year.Aaron Tucker -- Solo
Aaron's solo is teeming with charisma and fun. It earns a standing ovation from the judges.Amy Yakima with All-Star AlexBollywood choreographed by Nakul Dev Mahajan
This exuberant number is about a woman and her servant. Amy really shines in this piece. Mary Murphy commends the athleticism of the routine and calls it "nuts." Jesse Tyler Ferguson tells Amy that he needs a massage after watching it!
Next up are the duos.Hayley Erbert and Paul KarmiryanContemporary choreographed by Dee Caspary
This routine is dramatic and moody. I feel like there is a lack of connection between Paul and Hayley. Mary Murphy and Jesse Tyler Ferguson give a standing ovation. Jesse calls it "amazing" and manages to poke fun at Carly Rae Jepsen's signature critique. Mary wants Paul and Hayley to become a real-life couple.Amy Yakima and DuShaunt "Fik-Shun" StegallHip-Hop choreographed by Dave Scott
This dynamic duo are performing another hip-hop routine. It is great to see their chemistry once again. Mary Murphy calls them "the dream team." Jesse Tyler Ferguson gives them both raves.Aaron Turner and Jasmine HarperJazz choreographed by Sean Cheesman
This number is about a spirit that lives inside a mirror. The routine is athletic and punctuated by sharp movements. I really enjoy this jazz piece, and so do the judges, who give a standing ovation. Mary Murphy commends their dancing partnership and performance. Jesse Tyler Ferguson admits to having a crush on Aaron. Wow! Nigel Lythgoe tells Aaron that he kept his shoulders down.
