Peter Krause was born on August 12, 1965 in Alexandria, Minnesota. Hew grew up to be a skilled track and field athlete but he was injured in a pole vaulting accident which ended his athletic career. He was primarily educated at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota and then pursued an acting career by transferring to New York University to complete a Master of Fine Arts program. In 1998 he was cast for the role of Casey McCall on the ABC comedy Sports Night which was created by Aaron Sorkin, a friend he met while he was bartending. Krause's other appearances on television were for Six Feet Under, The Lost Room and Dirty Sexy Money.
Nick George is portrayed by Peter Krause in the television series Dirty Sexy Money. Nick grew up in a troubled household as his mother committed suicide when he was seven years old. He became a well-meaning, civic-minded lawyer who promised not to follow his father's footsteps even if he always came second to his father's job. He was drawn to the Darling family after his father’s death, as his father, Devlin, was the family lawyer of the Darlings. Nick is then led to become their chief counsel in replacement of his father.
