Earlier this year, Showtime collaborated with Marc Ecko Entertainment for the development of a videogame based on the network's dark serial drama Dexter that will be available for several platforms, including Sony Playstation 3 and Microsoft Xbox 360.  Several months later, the two parties have decided to venture in a Dexter iPhone videogame, with Icarus Studio as the developer.

“I am so excited to have Icarus Studios on board to develop the Dexter iPhone game,” Marc Fernandez, vice president of Marc Ecko Entertainment, said in a statement.  “From the second we began this project we wanted to throw everything we had at it, that's exactly why we wanted Icarus Studios as a partner - a 100 person plus developer focusing their technology on making the Dexter game the best it can possibly be.”
Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.

The iPhone game will be simply called Dexter and will allow fans to experience what it's like to be in the world of Dexter Morgan, a serial killer who works for the Miami Metro Police Department as a blood spatter analyst.  Just like the series, the iPhone videogame will involve investigations, and a lot of mysteries and problem solving so players will have to put on their thinking caps as they analyze and collect evidences.

And since the main idea of the game revolves around the code of Harry, which is to punish only the guilty, players must decide which kinds of justice will apply in various situations.

Dexter is a fresh and cutting edge series with elements that are perfect for a handheld videogame, so we are thrilled by this opportunity,” James Hettinger, CEO of Icarus Studios, said in a statement.  “We are also extremely pleased to be working with Marc Ecko Entertainment and Showtime on this project. They are masters of entertainment and brands, so we could not be in better hands.”
