Strike Means More Quality Time for 'Housewives' Star and Fiance
The WGA strike has caused major disruptions in the television world, and put many actors and crew members out of work for an indefinite period of time, but it seems one celebrity has managed to draw out the silver lining.

Music artist Michael Bolton, fiance of Desperate Housewives star Nicollette Sheridan, is happy the strike has shut down production on the hit series, as it has allowed the two of them to have more quality time together.  The unexpected break also means that Sheridan can be alongside her man during his worldwide tour.

"We're doing great. She's working - minus the strike, which is... we hate the strike happening, but it is allowing her to travel with me,” Bolton told talk show host Larry King. “And we've just been to Europe and just gotten back to New York.”

Bolton and Sheridan have been engaged for more than a year, and recently, reports that the 44-year-old actress, who plays vixen Edie Britt on Desperate Housewives, is pregnant began to surface.  Although the rumors spread quickly, it took awhile to reach Bolton himself, who only learned of the speculations when his daughter from a previous marriage asked him if they were true.

Bolton has since then denied that Sheridan is with child.

"We've been through this so much that we always love to learn about ourselves in the news.  But no kids on the way - that I know about now anyway,” he explained.

The 54-year-old singer-songwriter, who has won awards from both the American Music Awards and Grammy Awards, also said that he and Nicollette Sheridan are in no hurry to tie the knot.

"We're engaged, having a great time,” Bolton said.  “So that having a family is not the first and foremost thing on our mind.   We're kind of living like a married couple right now."

Viewers will next see Nicollette Sheridan and the rest of the Desperate Housewives cast on a new episode on January 6, when the highly-anticipated second part to the show's December 2 broadcast is set to air.
