In honor of Mother's Day, BuddyTV has compiled this list of our 10 favorite motherly moments.
' Lynette Scavo (Felicity Huffman
) may not be the best mother ever, but she's certainly the most relatable. Stuck with a houseful of boys (including her husband Tom), Lynette does the best she can, which often involves using every manipulative power in her book to keep everyone satisfied.
In one particularly great third season plot, Lynette's son Parker isn't very good at Little League, so Lynette bribes the pitcher of the opposing team with $50 to throw an easy pitch to Parker so he can get a hit and boost his confidence. Though the plan goes south when the pitcher admits to the bribery, it's still an amazing moment in motherhood. Some might call it a despicable act, but as I see it, Lynette's ability to ignore common ethics and decency for the sole purpose of making her son feel good about himself is quite the grand maternal gesture.
