Tokyo Police Club is set to make their primetime TV debut as a promising band battling it out on Desperate Housewives.  The Canadian band, which will be named “Cold Splash” on the ABC dramedy, will perform their song entitled “In A Cave” in an upcoming episode that will air on Sunday, November 16.

Formed in 2005, Tokyo Police Club consists of singer and bassist Dave Monks, guitarist Josh Hook, keyboardist Graham Wright, and drummer Greg Alsop.  The indie group initially gained attention by performing in small gigs throughout the Toronto area but the buzz quickly spread like wildfire and since then, the band has been signed with Toronto label Paper Bag Records.

Warning: Spoilers ahead!!!

While filming on Desperate Housewives, Tokyo Police Club did not have the opportunity to meet the wives of Wisteria Lane.  On the other hand, there were some close A-list celebrity encounters, including some of the desperate husbands of the show.  Band members also delivered actual lines in the episode, giving clues to their real identity, in a battle of the bands scenario at the local club near the fictional Wisteria Lane.

As reported previously, there's an upcoming tragedy waiting to unfold on Desperate Housewives. Series creator Marc Cherry hints that the band will play a crucial role in a huge fire disaster in Fairview coming this November, and unfortunately, some of the residents may not survive the tragedy.

"We have a huge episode that we just started shooting where all my regulars go to see a garage band from the neighborhood play in a nightclub," Cherry said at the time.  "The nightclub gets set on fire. It's connected to the mystery, and it's going to be a huge episode."

"It's one of the biggest special-effects episodes we've ever done, actually more difficult than the tornado," Cherry added.
