Nicklas Soderblom is determined to reveal about his romance with ex-girlfriend Nicollette Sheridan
, who plays Edie Britt on Desperate Housewives
, as well as her bitter fights with her co-stars on the ABC dramedy. He is set to make everything public in his upcoming book entitled Not A Desperate Houseman
Soderblom met Sheridan in November 2003. Within weeks of their first meeting, Soderblom left his long-time girlfriend and embarked on an affair with the actress, which eventually led to his proposal of marriage. Enthralled by Sheridan's beauty, Soderblom thought Sheridan would reciprocate with the kind of wild sexual scenes that are her on-screen hallmark but he was very much mistaken. Instead, he found himself with “a woman who was cold, spiteful and more dysfunctional than any of the Desperate Housewives
of Wisteria Lane.” Their engagement only lasted 10 months as Sheridan ditched the Swedish personal trainer when she began dating singer Michael Bolton.
Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.
At the time when Desperate Housewives
was about to enter its fourth season, Soderblom finally had enough and decided to write a devastating account of their relationship in a tell-all book, in which he has teamed up with journalist Bonnie Robinson.
In addition to Soderblom and Sheridan's relationship, Soderblom's book contains many insights about jealousies and feuds on the Desperate Housewives
set. According to Soderblom, Sheridan's rivalry with Teri Hatcher
, Felicity Huffman
, Marcia Cross
and Eva Longoria
has also fuelled her mood swings, which significantly affected his relationship with her.
Robinson describes Soderblom as a man who fell passionately in love with a self-centered celebrity and that “Sheridan was a stressed out middle-aged woman in Hollywood who sees Desperate Housewives
as her last big break.”
Furthermore, Robinson gives an even bolder statement as she reveals that Sheridan is barely interested in sex except as a means of manipulation to get what she wants.
