Ben Lawson on Designated Survivor

Ben Lawson has been cast as a series regular on Designated Survivor for its upcoming sophomore season. According to Deadline, The Deep End actor will play a MI-6 operative named Damien Rennett, who meets Hannah (Maggie Q) while posing as a Dutchman in Amsterdam. Though there is wariness and competitiveness at the start of their relationship, they eventually develop a mutual attraction. Lawson joins previously announced series regular Paulo Costanzo, who will play new White House Political Director Lyor Boone.

Paris Barclay on Grey's Anatomy Spin-Off

Former DGA president Paris Barclay will serve as the producing director and executive producer of Grey's Anatomy's untitled spin-off, which revolves around a group of heroic firefighters. The Emmy-winning director joins Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers as executive producers while Grey's executive producer/co-showrunner Stacy McKee will transition to the spin-off full-time. 

Brit Morgan on Riverdale

True Blood actress Brit Morgan will be joining Riverdale's second season in a recurring capacity. Deadline reports that she will play Penny Peabody, known to some as the "Snake Charmer." She's an attorney that the Southside Serpents keep on retainer just in case they have an altercation with law enforcement. Jughead (Cole Sprouse) will discover that she prefers to be paid with favors instead of cash when he enlists her help with his dad. Morgan's other credits include roles on Supergirl, The Arrangement and Graceland.

Twisty on American Horror Story

One of the notorious characters on American Horror Story is making a comeback. Twisty, the disgraced clown portrayed by John Carroll Lynch who previously appeared in American Horror Story: Freak Show, will be part of season 7, which revolves around the U.S. Presidential election. Series creator Ryan Murphy teased Twisty's return on social media though it's unclear how the serial killer will fit in to the new season.
