As previously hinted,
Deal or No Deal celebrated its first million dollar winner last Monday. The first person in the show's history to win the top prize came in the form of Jessica Robinson, 27, from Sandee, Utah.
Robinson played during the Million Dollar Mission on the
Deal or No Deal episode airing September 1. With five million dollar cases, she eliminated the first four quickly, putting even more pressure on her decision. The final three amounts on the board were $100,000, $200,000, and $1,000,000. She turned down a final bank offer of $561,000 and decided put it all on the line for the money. She kept her case, number 4, and won the million.
"Oh my Gosh I have no Idea!" Robinson said when in the middle of shouts and celebration at the show, according to NBC.
For Robinson, getting the top prize is like a dream come true. And like most people,
She plans to buy a car and a house somewhere in Austin. She is also excited about the fact that she'll be able to buy her kids toys from stores instead of garage sales. For herself, however, she wants something that she's never had before.
“Well, we don't have the money and we're not getting it until January. But this is just kind of funny. We want to celebrate a little bit and this is the dumbest thing but I want this straight ironer for my hair first. It's the funniest thing and I should just go buy it and I did. I was like, ‘I'm going and I'm just going to get it.' And it's so silly, but once I lose my baby weight I'm going shopping and I'm going to look good,” she told thedeadbolt.com in an interview.
Meanwhile, fans can look forward to at least another millionaire on
Deal or No Deal's fourth season.
