Days of our Lives: May 28 Live Thoughts
Days of our Lives: May 28 Live Thoughts
Days of our Lives begins at the pub.  Morgan Hollingsworth is working on a paper for a class and stressing out about it.  She asks Max (Darin Brooks) for help about it, as Morgan's film crew trails her.  Oh, we're back to the documentary makers again?  I had forgotten about that.

Stephanie (Shelley Hennig) and Steve (Stephen Nichols) are by Kayla's (Mary Beth Evans) side at the hospital.  They are taking her home, but she's terribly worried about baby Joe.

Nicole walks into Philip's room and catches him in bed with Chloe.  Nicole is grossed out.

The camera crew guys wait for Stephanie to get to the pub.  One of the camera dudes interviews Max, impressed that he's Max Brady the former racecar driver.  The camera guy is shocked to find out that Max is a lowly bartender and a dock worker now.

Elsewhere at the pub, Ava is doing some Internet research on her new attorney, EJ Wells (James Scott).  She finds out that he was convicted for fraud.  Well, she should have done the research before hiring him.

At the DiMera mansion, EJ wants to go upstairs to check on Johnny, but Marlena (Deidre Hall) stalls him.  Marlena breaks out the shrink talk to ask about whether he was happy that Lucas walked in on him and Sami.  Marlena also indicates that Lucas is the love of Sami's life and they always find their way back to each other.  EJ promises that he won't give up, though.  EJ throws the questioning back at Marlena and asks her if she thinks John is guilty of drug-trafficking.

Chloe and Philip (Jay Kenneth Johnson) yell at Nicole to leave, but she just snarks about Chloe's flabby tummy.  Nicole says that since she owns half of the house, she wants Chloe out.  Philip forcibly removes her from the room.  Chloe is pleased to see Philip defending her, but she decides that she better leave anyway.  Philip doesn't want her to leave, so he gets down on his knees and begs her to stay.  They get in bed again and start kissing.

Nicole immediately goes over to the pub and bumps into Ava.  Nicole recognizes her and starts a conversation.  Nicole wants to go on a girlie roadtrip to Chicago to shop for shoes.  Ava is all aghast because she doesn't even know her, but she is pleasantly surprised to know that Nicole doesn't care about her reputation as a mob princess.  Nicole shares that she's in the middle of a divorce from Victor Kiriakis.  They bond over mojitos.  Ava tells Nicole her whole sob story.  EJ walks in, and the two women discover that they are both clients of his.  Philip and Chloe finally get out of bed and get dressed and go over to the pub.  Naturally, neither Nicole nor Morgan is very happy to see them.

Marlena goes over to the police station to talk to Roman (Josh Taylor).  They argue about John's culpability, but Marlena really wants to talk about Sami as well.  Roman is shocked that Sami would get herself into a situation like this.

At the hospital, before taking her home, Steve and Stephanie decide to bring Kayla into the NICU to look at baby Joe up close.  All the Johnsons meet the newest addition to their family, but it's time to go home.  Steve and Stephanie blindfold Kayla and lead her into a new apartment, decorated with a welcome home banner.  Kayla loves it, and Stephanie rushes out the door to meet Morgan at the pub.  Morgan and Stephanie's professor goes to the pub to give them their internship evaluations.  They both did extremely well.  Max comes over, looking all ominous.  What's going on here?  Stephanie asks Max why he is not going to the dinner tonight for Nick's grant approval.

Next on Days of our Lives: Chloe publicly shames Daniel, EJ tells Nicole that Sami signed the annulment papers, Max does not attend Nick's dinner.
