Days of our Lives: July 10 Live Thoughts
Days of our Lives: July 10 Live Thoughts
Days of our Lives is back!  (And the power is back on in Salem as well.)  Caroline (Peggy McCay) offers Victor a complimentary slice of apple pie to ease the pain of his divorce.  She's got a lot on her mind, though, because Trent Robbins is eating at the pub across the room.  Why this man insists on patronizing this establishment when it's been made clear that he's not welcome there is beyond me.  EJ meets with Nicole outside the pub.  They are meeting Victor there to sign the remaining papers for their divorce.

At the police station, Bo questions Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) about why he snuck out of the mansion.  Meanwhile, Philip (Jay Kenneth Johnson) questions Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) about sleeping with Lucas.

Still outside the pub, EJ (James Scott) asks Nicole why she wants out of their relationship so suddenly.  She angrily says that they never had a relationship in the first place, and their sex in the elevator was a one-time deal.

Inside the pub, Max (Darin Brooks) approaches Trent.  Max explains that he wants to come to some sort of understanding because he doesn't want to keep hurting his family.  He's also tired of hating him, so they should call a truce and go their separate ways.  They don't have to leave Salem, but they should just ignore each other if they encounter them.  Max gives the photograph of his sister back to Trent and leaves the table.

Caroline confides in Victor (John Aniston) about her worries about Max. Then Victor asks her to join him for a movie.  Nicole and EJ come in to get down to business.  Nicole gets momentary nostalgic about her almost-dead marriage with Victor, flashbacking to the times they had together.  Nicole breaks out the champagne to toast her divorce, but just as she's toasting, Victor starts getting dizzy.  He tries to say that he's fine.  Nicole gets up while EJ looks over the papers, giving her a chance to tell Trent to stay out of her life.  Finally, all the divorce papers are signed.  EJ tries to ask Nicole out for a celebratory dinner, but she shuts him down.

Stephanie (Shelley Hennig) suggests to Caroline that since Victor is now single, she might considering going out with Victor once in a while.  Caroline is shocked that she should suggest something like that.  After Max's conversation with Trent is over, Stephanie is anxious to start looking for his long-lost sister, but Max has changed his mind and doesn't want to find anything that will further connect him to Trent.  (This is a lie, however, to keep Stephanie from getting involved.)  Caroline also rudely kicks Trent out of the pub after he finishes eating.

Caroline confirms her movie plans with Victor to celebrate his divorce, but then he gets dizzy again and falls to the floor, unconscious.

Bo (Peter Reckell) and Hope (Kristian Alfonso) tries to brainstorm ways to get Lucas out of having to go back to jail, but Lucas is angrily determined that he's going to go back to prison.  Sami (Alison Sweeney) rushes over to the police station and snarks at Chloe for trying to get close to Lucas.  She wants to see Lucas, and even though she's not allowed to since he's still in the middle of questioning, Bo lets her see him for a few minutes.  Philip also tries to ask Bo about the Paul Hollingsworth case, but he gets nothing.  Bo starts getting suspicious about Philip's recent friendship with Morgan and insinuates that he might have had something to do with Paul's disappearance.

Hope continues questioning Lucas, but he won't say why he had to go to the Salem Inn.  She realizes that he might be protecting someone.  She doesn't get anything out of him, though.  Then, Sami gets her chance to ask Lucas why he would break house arrest, and Philip butts in and echoes the question.  Lucas won't answer.

Morgan confronts Chloe.  She thinks that Chloe is lying about having seen Paul at the pier that night because she's jealous of Morgan's relationship with Philip.  Right, because women's only motivation for anything is to land a man and the only reason they would fight with one another is over a man.  Days of our Lives often sets us back 30 years.
