Stephanie Johnson is portrayed by
Shelley Hennig in The Days of Our Lives. Stephanie was raised by her mother alone in Los Angeles, California believing that her father was dead. She is the daughter of super couple Steve Johnson and Kayla Brady. She was a race car driver who fell in love with Max Brady, also a racer. However, they got into an accident and Max asked for a break up as she was recovering in the hospital. She then moved to Dayton, Ohio to accept a job offer to work for another racing team.
Stephanie Johnson returned to Salem roughly a year after moving to Ohio due to Steve’s mental condition, to become a flight attendant for a private airline called Touch the Sky Airlines alongside Chelsea. Stephanie had been a victim of his abusive boyfriend Jeremy Horton several times. Horton also owns the airline company she works for. After Max saves Stephanie from an angry passenger, the two ended up almost making love. This proves that the two still have some semblance of feelings for each other. After Max discovers Jeremy’s business of smuggling women, he and Stephanie are held at gunpoint and forced to jump off a plane. Amazingly, they have parachutes and lands in a forest. Caught in the heat of the moment, the two again almost makes love but are eventually found by Bo and Kayla. Stephanie and Jeremy, meanwhile, break up.
Trying to get over Max, Stephanie decides to enroll at Salem University. She joins a sorority and soon organizes an auction where, to her dismay, Max is “won” by the Morgan, sorority president, and they soon start dating. After getting almost raped by a student in campus, Stephanie worries about her parents’ well-being. Her parents are being held by the deranged ex-girlfriend of Steve’s. She is kidnapped by a man hired by this same woman.
