The new, all-athlete season of Dancing with the Stars is fast approaching, and now another Winter Olympian is throwing his hat into the ring as a potential cast member. In an interview with US Weekly, skier Gus Kenworhy expressed his interest in competing on the show.

Which Other Winter Olympians Could Join DWTS?>>>

The openly gay Olympic slopestyle skier revealed that he is very interested and even lobbied to compete on DWTS last year. With a season that will be comprised entirely of athletes, his chances go way up. But there are a lot of recent Winter Olympic stars that could be in the running, including a slew of figure skaters like Adam Rippon.

Kenworthy admitted to US Weekly that he's not a particularly good dancer, but he prefers those kinds of contestants, like Steve-O, as opposed to the ringers with professional dance experience like Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger.

The 26-year-old skier, who failed to medal at Pyeongchang but who did score a Silver medal four years ago in Sochi, is no stranger to reality TV competitions. Kenworthy was a contestant on The Challenge: Champs vs. Pros where veterans of the MTV series battled professional athletes. His season also featured past DWTS contestants Louie Vito and Lolo Jones.

He's also worked with ABC in the past, guest starring as himself on The Real O'Neals and playing with his family on Celebrity Family Feud.
