Drew Lachey captured teens’ attention as a member of boy band 98 Degrees, but swept off viewers of all ages when he won Dancing with the Stars season 2. With the guidance of professional dance partner Cheryl Burke, he emerged victorious after 11 weeks of painstaking competition and was able to gain a perfect score of 30 for performances of the Pasa Doble, Tango and freestyle presentation. After leaving a positive impression on the program, he was asked to join the Dancing with the Stars Tour for both USA and Canada, and even made a surprise appearance on the April 17, 2007 results show.

Dancing with the Stars became a highly advantageous launching point for another part of his career as tons of opportunities flourished Lachey’s way. After his stint on the reality dance program, he co-hosted the Miss USA pageant. He also guest starred in numerous television shows and appeared on talk shows like Ellen DeGeneres, Jimmy Kimmel and Megan Mullally. He also graced the 14th Annual Race to Erase MS at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in California, which raised money and awareness for multiple sclerosis treatment and research.

Lachey is currently filming a movie called The Comebacks, which will be released in August. He also plans to venture into Broadway musical this fall. Meanwhile, he is enjoying his new role at home as a dad to daughter Isabella, which he claims to be more fulfilling than other professional opportunities.
