Rachel Hunter Biography:

Rachel Hunter was born on September 9, 1969 in Auckland, New Zealand. Her modeling career began when she was 17 years old and reached celebrity status as a model when she appeared on the pages of Sports Illustrated in 1989. She graced the covers of Cosmopolitan Magazine and the yearly swimsuit issue of Sports Illustrated. In 2004, Playboy magazine reportedly gave Hunter $1.8 million just to pose naked for the adult publication. In addition, Hunter also became the spokesmodel for the Scottish lingerie line, Ultimo, and was on a celebrity episode of Lingo, where she and her partner, Trista Rehn-Sutter, ended up winning $30,000 for their respective charities. Hunter has also tried to build a career as an actress by taking up several acting lessons and appearing in some independent films like A Walk in the Park and Two Shades of Blue. Her other acting credits include the movie The Benchwarmers and the music video for Fountains of Wayne’s “Stacy’s Mom.”

In the same year that she became a host of the reality series, Make Me A Supermodel, Hunter was asked to join the first season of the ABC reality series, Dancing with the Stars. She was paired with dancer Jonathan Roberts, and was eliminated from the show after only three weeks.
