Dancing with the Stars
' big power couple has made it official. US Weekly reports
that after more of a year of being engaged and having a child together, Peta Murgatroyd and Maksim Chmerkovskiy are married. The two were wedded in a relatively small ceremony with around 300 guests in New York's Oheka Castle on Saturday, July 8.

The couple have talked about their wedding, in private and in public, for quite some time. Thankfully all the preparation paid off as things evidently went exactly as planned. "It was everything we ever dreamt of," Chmerkovskiy said of their wedding, which began in the evening and happened underneath a literal rainbow.
As for the location, a castle in Long Island, New York, it was evidently Maks' ideal spot to get married. "Maks has loved this place for years and I took on the suggestion and I fell in love with it immediately," Murgatroyd said in a separate interview with People
. "I had never thought of being married in a castle, but my jaw dropped when I first saw it."
Peta also spoke about her wedding dress, which can be seen in photos below. She explained that she never wanted a typical white dress, instead opting for an ivory gown. "I didn't want a stark white dress," Peta explained. "I just love the old-fashioned feel of the ivory. Especially against the castle, I didn't want stark white. I think it's more sleek, in a way."
Though there were fewer guests than one might expect from a celebrity couple, there were still several familiar faces in attendance for Dancing with the Stars
fans. Maks' brother, Val, was obviously present and one of the groomsman, and he was joined by fellow DWTS pro Tony Dovolani in the wedding party. Peta, for her part, had former DWTS
contestant Rumer Willis and current pro Sharna Burgess as bridesmaids.
Also in attendance were Jenna Johnson, another Dancing with the Stars professional; Nyle DiMarco, who danced with Peta in season 22 of Dancing with the Stars; and Cameron Candace Bure, who competed in season 18 of DWTS.
The couple have been off and on since 2012 so the wedding has been a long time coming. "I'm looking forward to solidifying what all these years have been going to. I couldn't wait to call her my wife," Maks said.
So what do you think of Peta's wedding dress? Are you surprised by which Dancing with the Stars contestants and professionals attended?
