Lil' Kim and Derek Hough - Jive

During rehearsal this week, Lil' Kim has a hard time getting into the character of the jive since she isn't too familiar with what the 1950s were all about.  Derek takes her to a drive-in-slash-classic car show, which she seems to really enjoy.

Tonight, Lil' Kim is veritably busting out of her top with some phenomenal cleavage going on.  Derek, once again, has an enormous pompadour, which is really adorable on him.  They dance to "Jailhouse Rock," with Derek wearing a striped felon shirt, and Lil' Kim in sexified prison guard garb.  I think this is definitely the best jive of the night so far.  Lil' Kim and Derek really embody the fun, high-energy, non-stop kicking of the jive.

The audience loves it, and now we'll see how the judges liked it.  Bruno leaps to his feet and demands that Lil' Kim arrest him because he's guilty of loving it.  Carrie Ann also jumps to her feet, and pumps her arms, losing some jewelry in the process.  Len is more subdued.  He says that Lil' Kim and Derek got too carried away with the story of the jailhouse rock, and didn't include enough jive material.  He thinks it was too theatrical.

The scores:
Carrie Ann: 10
Len: 8
Bruno: 10
Total: 28 out of 30  (Backstage, Lil' Kim is super-cute and bubbly, giving shoutouts to everyone she knows.)

Steve-O and Lacey Schwimmer - Rumba

Steve-O and Lacey are courting elimination, so they are really working hard at the rumba.  Steve-O makes it really difficult for Lacey to get into the romantic mood by picking his nose, itching his butt and farting.  He brings his dog to rehearsal one day, and Lacey tells him that he has to tap into his love for Boogie to get into the rumba mood.

Tonight, Steve-O is actually wearing a white wifebeater underneath an unbuttoned shirt.  Lacey looks like she's in her underwear with a shirt over it.  They're like both in their pajamas or something.  One thing I have to say about Lacey is that she really knows how to choreograph a rumba.  I loved her rumba with Lance Bass last season, and this one is equally beautiful, sensual and totally earthy.

Carrie Ann says that there was something oddly mesmerizing about watching Steve-O dance.  She chalks it up to Steve-O's commitment, and she also compliments him on how much he has improved, although he still needs to work on his grace.  Len says curtly that it wasn't good at all.  Bruno thanks God for "racy Lacey," but says simply that Steve-O's dancing is bad.

The scores:
Carrie Ann: 7
Len: 4
Bruno: 5
Total: 16 out of 30
